This thing is FAR uglier than anything Chris Bangle ever drew. I’ve been trying to decide which is ugliest car on sale today, either the LX570 or the Bentayga. This blows both of them out of the water.

I think the best new BMWs are the i8, the 2-series, and the Z4. Everything else is meh.

Taking the beaver-like kidney grilles out of the equation, the rest of the styling looks really awkward. Somehow the belt line of the car looks too high and too low at the same time, and it looks tall and short at the same time. I feel like I’m looking at some horrible optical illusion.

The 3 series is still alright and I actually think the x1 isn’t too bad for what it is. It’s actually pretty small and the mileage and performance penalties are pretty minimal compared to their sedans.

Everything else, I agree with you. I’d buy an S class over a 7, an E class over a 5, etc. And I’d rather have an RS3 than an M2, good as it is.

Don’t sell the big Infiniti SUV short. It’s not as comically ugly as it used to be but it’s still hideous.

I really think every car firm needs to hire someone who’s entire job is to just veto hideous designs before they get too far into the design engineering process. I understand that not every car can be an E type or a Miura, but SUVs are not a new thing. We know how to make them look good, or at least reasonable.

Only if it comes with a mad max plow on the front to push cars out of my way on the turnpike during rush hour.

I love manuals, but I willing to relocate them to weekend duty at this point. Modern a utomatics/DSGs are good enough for daily duty for me.

It used to be top (bottom) 3 for sure, but the new one improved it enough that it’s now just in the top 10 ugliest cars.

I’d replace the Z4 with the M2, and add the M6. It just has so much... Presence. Otherwise completely agree with your list.

Nah, it’s definitely in the top 3 ugliest cars. At least in the US.

And picking on the MKT feels a lot like making fun of Poland in 1992. It’s been through enough at this point.

It pains me to say, but the LX is getting uglier with time , especially when the rest of Lexus’ new sedans and LC are trending in the right direction in the looks department. NX is also aging poorly...
